January 1st, is the day each year we remind ourselves what we want to do and be. One of the things I’ve told myself that I want to do more of each year is blogging.
Hopefully, with a little more effort on my part—and possibly a little inspiration from the The Daily Post at WordPress.com—I will post at least once a week in 2011.
Today’s challenge is a question I’ve been trying to answer for a few months now I’ve got some frequent flyer miles to burn before they expire.
List three countries you’d like to visit, and why you want to go.
A few years back, I learned that I had Spanish heritage and ever since then I have felt a tug to visit my ancestral homeland. While my Ayala roots are from the northern País Vasco region of the country, I would love to see Barcelona and Madrid as well.
It may not be my favorite movie (heck, it’s not even my favorite Bond movie), but ever since I saw the 2006 version of Casino Royale I’ve wanted to visit Montenegro to enjoy the beauty of the Adriatic Coast and it’s rich culture and history.
The familiar has its own allure. In September of 2009 we spent the best vacation of our lives to date in Phuket, Thailand. We rode elephants in the jungle, snorkeled off the Phi Phi Islands, and lounged around at the JW Marriott Resort on Mai Kao Beach. I seriously hope to one day return with my family.
